Rajasthan Royals plunged to the lowest Indian Premier League total after being bowled out for meagre a 58 against Royal Challengers Bangalore en route to a crushing 75-run defeat. In the first edition of the Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders were bundled out for 67 in 15.2 overs against Mumbai Indians.
Ricky Ponting, Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag earned the dubious distinction of recording two successive ducks in the first edition. Bangalore Royal Challengers' Jesse Ryder joined the unflattering list after registering his second successive duck against Deccan Chargers in IPL's second season. The New Zealand batsman had earlier failed to open his account in the opening match against Rajasthan Royals.
